Our Mission
RiseAboveBullying seeks to eliminate bullying in K-12 spaces and promote a culture of kindness, empathy, and inclusion in every learning environment.
Eliminate bullying
Our goal is to prevent and eliminate bullying by educating students on the destructive consequences of bullying on young kids and teens, as well as solutions to being bullied and methods to step in as a friend or peer.
Promote kindness
We aim to facilitate a culture of kindness, empathy, and inclusion for all students to have a safe and friendly learning environment that does not hold space for bullying and exclusion.
Interactive activities
We seek to fulfill our mission through interactive activities that engage students in thought-provoking conversations regarding bullying, as well as fun activities that encourage kindness.
About Us
RiseAboveBullying was founded in August 2024, established in Mclean, VA. It was created and is led by high school student leader Brianna Wang, with the goal of visiting K-12 schools to implement our mission: the elimination of bullying in educational spaces and the facilitation of a culture of kindness in schools.
Our Experience
RiseAboveBullying has worked with approximately 200 students across multiple K-12 classes throughout four different schools, with lessons customized to best accommodate every different grade level, learning stage, and individual child.
Our Story
“Having personally experienced bullying throughout my elementary and middle school years, I understand the devastating impacts it can have on growing children: emotionally, socially, and even on academic performance. With RiseAboveBullying, I want create a future where no child is forced to feel unwanted or unsafe in a learning space, and where young minds can thrive and develop at a fundamental stage in their lives. I hope that this organization will help facilitate an educational environment that encourages kindness and inclusion, where bullying has no place to harm a child.”
